Presenting in the Infrastructure track of Interop NY, Cohesive CTO Chris Swan will present on experiences working with network function virtualization (NFV) and SDN projects for production-ready customers. The presentation will include a brief background on NFV technologies and focus on NFV applied in customer case studies. Mr. Swan will touch on how cloud projects change at scale, for telcos and enterprises both, and what happens when you try to manage hundreds of virtual networks. Interop New York is happening September 30 – October 4, 2013 at the Javits Convention Center.

 

ABOUT CHRIS SWAN:
Chris Swan is CTO at Cohesive, where he focuses on product development and product delivery. Chris was previously CTO for Client Experience at UBS. Previously, Chris was also co-head of Security CTO at UBS, and Director on the Steering Committee of the Open Data Center Alliance (ODCA). Before joining UBS he was CTO at a London based technology investment banking boutique, which operated a cloud only IT platform. Chris previously was a senior R&D, architect and engineer at Credit Suisse, and Combat Systems Engineering Officer in the Royal Navy. He has an MBA from OUBS and a BEng in Electronics Engineering from the University of York. Most recently, Mr. Swan spoke at the Cloud World Forum Expo in London and the ODCA Forecast event in San Francisco.
