Try Before You Buy – VNS3 Lite Edition Lets You Connect Data Center Networks to the Public Cloud
CHICAGO, IL USA – July 9, 2014 – CohesiveFT, the cloud native networking company, today announced their participation in the AWS Marketplace Network Infrastructure free trial campaign. CohesiveFT’s VNS3 Lite Edition is available for a 1 month free trial on Amazon Web Services (AWS). In addition, customers who actively use VNS3 on AWS will receive $100 in AWS credits.
VNS3 on AWS enables customers to manage cloud based systems through use cases ranging from creating a simple VPN tunnel between an existing data center to building a distributed, scalable, highly available set of federated resources connected via a VNS3 mesh network. Customers can use VNS3 to distribute networks across public and hybrid cloud infrastructures.
Geezeo uses CohesiveFT’s VNS3 cloud networking product to securely connect to multiple financial services customers as an entirely AWS-based business using Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2). “We started using AWS in 2009 but we needed to build a switching tunnel architecture between our applications and our customers’ data centers,” said James Elwood, CTO of Geezeo. “VNS3 allowed us to connect multiple, distinct IPsec tunnels between AWS and customer data centers. Working with VNS3 on AWS saved us over 15 man-hours per week of monitoring and maintaining.”
“Our goal in participating in the Network Infrastructure free trial campaign is to help more enterprise customers move to cloud computing,” said CohesiveFT Director of Products and Marketing Ryan Koop. “By expanding both the networking capabilities and building on security options available for AWS users, we’re helping enterprises easily move to and grow on the AWS Cloud.”
“AWS is excited to have VSN3 offer a free trial as part of the campaign,” said Barry Russell, Head of Business Development for AWS Marketplace, Amazon Web Services, Inc. “This is a great, low-risk way for customers to quickly trial VNS3 running on AWS with the option to easily shift into paid editions at the end of the trial.”
CohesiveFT is a member of the Amazon Partner Network (APN) and the VNS3 product has been helping customers connect their AWS cloud deployments since 2008. CohesiveFT will be participating in the AWS re:Invent conference this fall in Las Vegas, where the company will sponsor and exhibit from November 11 – 14.
