SambaSafety

Problem

SambaSafety connects government data services to insurers and transportation companies. The personal records such as a DLN (driver’s license number) or MVR (motor vehicle record) must be encrypted but connect to multiple endpoints.

Solution

SambaSafety connects government data services to insurers and transportation companies. The personal records such as a DLN (driver’s license number) or MVR (motor vehicle record) must be encrypted but connect to multiple endpoints.

Outcome

After 2 months in proof of concept and testing, SambaSafety launch VNS3 in production. SambaSafety has over 20 IPsec tunnels connecting customers and AWS-based resources, with plans to expand.

Labor Management Solutions

Problem

Customer needed true end-to-end security for all data-in-motion from government sites into their Amazon AWS hosted management systems. AWS VPC does not meet the level of encryption and other standards that the US Government requires.

Solution

VNS3 securely connected Customer’s management systems to government on-premise sites via IPsec with AES 265-bit encryption.

Outcome

Customer was able to connect sites end-to-end to the cloud-hosted management suite, and end customers were able to meet the US Government security standards.

ERP Solutions for Manufacturing

Problem

The ERP vendor needed a VPN solution to offer customers using a multi-site VPN with multiple locations. Customer’s end customer needed to connect 2 remote locations via static IKEv1 to the same Azure virtual network.

Solution

VNS3 offered enhanced connectivity in the Azure cloud beyond standard network controls. VNS3 allowed the Azure user to connect to multiple VPN locations in the same Azure network. 

Outcome

Customer was able to get VNS3 up and running in Azure and used it to quickly connect to their customer’s VPN devices.

UK Car Rental SaaS

Problem

Customer develops and distributes car rental system software to vehicle rental and car dealerships. The company needed additional security and connectivity between AWS resources and client data centers.

Solution

VNS3 helps Customer create a secure connection from a handful of servers in AWS to their end client’s data center using encrypted IPsec tunnels.

Outcome

After connecting their AWS networks to client data centers, Customer was also able to use VNS3 as part of a larger PCI-DSS audit.

IT Services for US Government

Problem

In order to pursue a number of internal and external customer programs utilizing public cloud, Customer needed to integrate cloud with their complex, global internal infrastructure. Infrastructure integration and security caused major concerns.

Solution

Customer used VNS3 across an array of initiatives for cloud connectivity, disaster recover testing and production-ready projects, capacity overflow, and customer/partner networks.

Outcome

Customer extended their traditional hosting model to public cloud using a networking solution that was comfortable to the offshore staff. Additional networking capabilities let them build internal disaster recovery service offerings for end customers.

UK Online Expense Management Provider

Problem

The ticking and expense management provider needed to connect to a centralized UK train ticket booking service via IPsec in order to make reservations.

Solution

The customer leveraged VNS3 overlay capabilities to connect to their cloud-hosted application with IPsec.

Outcome

The UK customer was able to host their entire solution in the cloud and connect to the booking service without any hardware.

Online Training for Elite MBA Programs

Problem

The online learning provider wanted to use Amazon’s VPC DNS from their office, which hosts the IPsec remote endpoint.

Solution

Through Cohesive Networks’ SI partner Trek10, the customer began using VNS3 to route DNS traffic. With Cohesive Networks, the customer even considered doing more than a simple port forward, and worked with the SI to use a DNS forwarder in a container on VNS3.

Outcome

The company now uses VNS3 in production, and has recently upgrade to 5 additional client packs.

Problem

The company’s performance management reporting and analysis, budgeting, planning, forecasting, and consolidation software focuses on healthcare, IT, and government customers. They tried to use AWS hardware VPN, but ran into network overlap issues.

Solution

The company evaluated VNS3 to establish VPN connection to one of their regulated clients. They used VNS3 to establish 2 IPsec tunnels via the same endpoint within the network.

Outcome

They began using VNS3 in production in less than 2 months and upgraded for additional VPN connections within 6 months.

Wales’ Largest Used Car Sales Company

Problem

The company was running a Microsoft Azure connected via VPN to their local network. As they grew their cloud footprint, they needed to extend Azure’s capabilities across all their sites using a VPN connection. They chose Azure to connect to an Active Directory controller to 5 or 6 Car Dealership sites.

Solution

Through a partner SI, they used VNS3 to connect and extend their hybrid network across local legacy network appliance to cloud-based resources in multiple Azure regions.

Outcome

A referral from Microsoft Azure grew from a free trial edition into a growing VPN project. They company now connects 5 or 6 separate physical sites to a singular virtual azure network using static routing and dynamic routing.

Commerce Platform for Retailers

Problem

The company offers retailers an end-to-end solution to manage orders from start to finish, from order processing to inventory, sales, invoicing, and omnichannel fulfillment. They needed an alternative VPN connection that supported AES-256 bit encryption.

Solution

From the AWS Marketplace, they company was able to deploy, test, and configure VNS3 in production within days to replace their AWS NAT instances and Virtual Private Gateway (VPG) placeholder solution.

Outcome

VNS3 was able to quickly act as a drop-in replacement Amazon’s networking offerings that did not support higher AES 256-bit encryption. Now the company connects using AES-256 over static routes for VPC instances.

Antispyware, Antivirus and Mobile Security

Problem

Customer wanted to have global reach for their cloud-based threat protection and virus scanning system. Additionally, they wanted global redundancy using multiple cloud data centers with the potential for multiple cloud providers, all on what appears to be a global cloud WAN. Connection to existing data centers and network operations center were also important.

Solution

VNS3 created a global, virtual WAN with common address space, address mobility, multicast and secure encryption throughout. Customer also needed to integrate with their physical data center infrastructure and network operations.

Outcome

End customers were able to access critical infrastructure “in region” without having to wait for inter-continental lag times. Webroot offered these services with global redundancy at dramatically lower cost than establishing additional physical infrastructure sites.
