Geezeo
Problem
Geezeo started using cloud networking with AWS in 2009 but needed to build a switching tunnel architecture between AWS applications and customer data centers. Geezeo needed to set up multiple IPsec tunnels to banking and cloud-based partners.
Solution
Geezeo picked VNS3 because it was “not a traditional datacenter or product.” VNS3 acts “as a giant edge kit” and manages 30 IPsec tunnels to keep traffic between partners, customers, and Geezeo infrastructure separate and compliant.
Outcome
Since implementing VNS3, Geezeo has quickly scaled up. They grew from 4 customers to more than 400 banks and credit unions.
PayNearMe
Problem
PayNearMe enables end consumers to pay cash for bills and services through their payment network. PayNearMe must connect multiple VPN endpoints in cloud and on-prem.
Solution
VNS3 lets PayNearMe uses both an AWS region and a colocation environment to connect multiple VPN endpoints.
Outcome
Partners and merchant customers are able to connect to the PayNearMe networks as if they are one logical resource. The VNS3 overlay network adds AES 156-bit encryption inside AWS regions, allowing PayNearMe to surpass security standards and handle transactions and customer data without any security worry.
Banking Apps for Online & Mobile
Problem
Customer wanted to connect many mobile banking and financial customers to a common infrastructure. Their multi-tenant infrastructure enabled them to serve many customers from a common platform, but needed secure connectivity with minimal complexity.
Solution
VNS3 created a connection “edge” enveloping the customer’s multi-tenant deployment in cloud infrastructure. Simultaneously, VNS3 allowed Customer to use a “security lattice” approach to encrypt critical data-in-motion.
Outcome
Customer was able to bring its clients quickly to its cloud-based banking platform. They are able to focus with greater intensity on improving the platform as a result of being able to connect to their customers using standard IPSec equipment including Cisco, Juniper, Checkpoint, Watchguard, Nortel and more.
Financial App Marketplace
Problem
Customer needed separate development, staging and production environments in multiple AWS regions but found the standard routing security and connectivity to be “too clunky.”
Solution
VNS3 helps the customer connect their two AWS VPCs via an overlay network for developers to connect to the network to perform updates and make configuration changes. Encrypted data-in-motion was critical to the endeavor.
Outcome
Customer created a dev/test environment and a staging/production environment in AWS using VNS3 overlay networks. Customer plans to expand with new customers and geographies.
Online Investment Platforms
Problem
A provider of investing platforms for advisors, DIY investors, and institutions needed to establish a VPN in a production environment between their AWS resources and on-premises datacenter.
Solution
VNS3 set up the customer with an overlay network VPN using 2 IPsec tunnels. The tunnels connected a secondary back up route to AWS via Direct Connect.
Outcome
They began their VPN connection immediately with a VNS3 Lite Edition to establish twin tunnels to UK data centers.
Secure Banking Products for Mobile
Problem
The banking products company needed to migrate workloads to AWS but the VPN services inside Amazon limited their ability to access remote servers.
Solution
VNS3 allows Customer to use additional connections for each customer IP address, change the pre-shared key (PSK), and connect multiple VPN endpoints in a single region.
Outcome
Customer can now interoperate with multiple VPNs seamlessly and have multiple connections to the same remote VPN server from different VPCs.
U.S. “Over-the-Counter” Trading Software
Problem
A provider of an AWS-based trading software platform enables firms to use derivatives to hedge interest rate risks in a Dodd-Frank compliant manner. They needed to connect multiple endpoints into AWS, but was limited by VPC endpoint maximums.
Solution
Trek10, Cohesive Networks SI partner, was helping the company migrate to the Amazon cloud and recommended VNS3. As their cloud use case grew more complex, they recommended using VNS3:ms and VNS3:ha for network management and high availability.
Outcome
Trek10 helped the company migrate from AWS test environments to production, using VNS3 to enable and speed deployments.
Investments and Online Trading
Problem
The company needed to migrate existing VPNs to LexisNexis. A development VPN in the production account needed to migrate to a new VPC in a different account. The second VPN was a production VPN that also needed to move to an existing Amazon VPC.
Solution
Cohesive Networks SI partner Six Nines recommended VNS3 to migrate and connect to LexisNexis. Cohesive support teams helped the SI migrate the IPsec endpoints and smoothly transition the VPNs.
Outcome
Once LexisNexis completed a new IPsec configuration with the VPN, they were able to connect in 1 day.
