Global Marketing Agency
Problem
Global teams in APAC, US, and EMEA struggled to connect to a London-based ERP solution, and latency surged over 200 milliseconds. Using Microsoft Azure created challenges with connecting multiple VPN connections and IKE version issues.
Solution
After testing hardware solutions to connect sites to the Azure-based ERP app, Cohesive Networks was able to help then set up, test, and launch VNS3 quickly.
Outcome
They were able to migrate their ERP app to Azure on schedule and ensured future flexibility using VNS3 for the network bridge.
Sponsorship & Lifestyle Marketing Firm
Problem
The company had a complex network connection between a telecom and their AWS based networks. The telco required public IP addresses over IPsec tunnels.
Solution
An AWS expert recommended VNS3 and suggested the Cohesive Networks team configure the NAT-Traversal connection over IPsec with peered VNS3 Controllers for high availability.
Outcome
In record time, they got connected to their telecom partner using 3 peered VNS3 Controllers. They plan to add more VPCs to the deployment soon as the project continues.
Location Based Mobile Engagement
Problem
The company offers customers cloud-based customer acquisition and customer engagement software to track end customers physically located near retail locations. They needed to establish a route-based VPN to a customer location using a public IP address in encryption domains.
Solution
VNS3 enables the customer to use Public IP address ranges in encryption domains, unlike Amazon AWS.
Outcome
With help from the Cohesive Networks Support team, the customer quickly set up the site-to-site VPN with their customer.
Mobile Application Development Platform
Problem
Customer needed to create both single tenant and multi-tenant environments in AWS to connect their mobile application development platform to customers.
Solution
Customer resells VNS3 to end customers, giving them the ability to specify encryption pre-shared keys, encrypt data in motion within AWS EC2 and VPC, use higher 256-bit encryption, enable multicast protocols, directly monitor network interfaces, and easily fail over to other VNS3 devices within the AWS region for high availability.
Outcome
Customer delivers secure, highly available, IPsec connectivity for customers to connect to their servers running in AWS.
Website and App Developers
Problem
A website and app developer needed to deliver a cloud-based application to a customer concerned with data security. The application was built in the cloud, and Customer required secure connectivity and encrypted communication in the cloud.
Solution
VNS3 accommodated the end-user’s requirements for the security in cloud and secure communication to cloud.
Outcome
VNS3 helped Customer quickly deploy other cloud-based applications to security-sensitive customers.
Multi-Channel Video Advertising
Problem
Customer wanted to be able to use cloud instances as “points of presence” to expand the reach of their digital video services to multiple cable system providers globally. Customer’s desired approach was to have a “container” structure that allowed them to replicate their services for each of their provider customers. Ideally this could be done with edge connectivity, multi-cloud center federation, and critical information encryption as needed, with high bandwidth functions allowed to run in native VLAN infrastructure.
Solution
VNS3 combined with cloud provider VLAN isolation to federate across multiple cloud delivery centers. It also provided edge connectivity in a form that the providers were comfortable with – similar to their experiences with their traditional telco partners.
Outcome
Customer was able to create a scalable, flexible “container” structure for deploying their needed infrastructure to the cloud data centers – with a given deployment dedicated to a specific cable provider.
Mobile Marketing to Sub-Saharan Africa
Problem
The West African company delivers software, internet and telecommunications technology for enterprise, mobile, e-commerce and video. Customer needed additional networking functions in order to connect to their Microsoft Azure resources.
Solution
Customer uses VNS3 to connect 8 IPsec tunnels to their Azure environment with additional endpoints for greater connectivity.
Outcome
Global offices across Nigeria, USA, UK, Ghana, and Cote d’Ivoire can easily connect to Customer’s Azure-based resources.
Market Intelligence and Research Firm
Problem
The digital marketing firm needed to connect two unique, isolated tunnels between back-end servers and separate customers.
Solution
Using VNS3, the company was able to define a customer IP address range, connect using encrypted IPsec tunnels, and keep traffic separate between the two IPsec tunnels.
Outcome
Since using VNS3, the customer has grown and upgraded to increase the number of connections.
Digital and Mobile Design Agency
Problem
European-based mobile app developer wanted to connect cloud-based app servers to multiple APAC telco partners (revenue sources) though exact IP addresses (private LANs). Customer needed to keep customer traffic isolated and use standard extra-net technology.
Solution
VNS3 provided connectivity to multiple telco partners using various makes and models of network hardware. VNS3 leveraged multiple cloud regions as geographically distributed POPs. VNS3 overlay network encryption and addressing control alleviated security concerns and addressing requirements from the APAC telco partners.
Outcome
Customer was able to provide Cloud WAN capabilities to a number of partners while accommodating networking requirements that historically would have only been provided via owned data center infrastructure.
Major Publishing Company
Problem
The new digital version of a major publishing brand needed to emphasize cloud and digital presence.
Solution
Cohesive Networks SI partner Trek10 managed the AWS accounts for the company, and recommended VNS3 VNS3 to connect their AWS-based resources back to on-premises via encrypted IPsec tunnel.
Outcome
The customer uses VNS3 Lite in staging and production AWS accounts now. In the future, they plan to use VNS3 in production, pre-production and are interested in upgrading to VNS3:ms and VNS3:ha to mange networks and provide instance-based failover.
Mobile Marketing for Restaurants
Problem
Solution
Cohesive Networks SI partner Six Nines IT recommended VNS3 to connect public IPs to AWS, and worked with the Cohesive Support team to troubleshoot connections with a Checkpoint firewall.
Outcome
The customer successfully built a tunnel using IKEv2 between a StrongSwan device and VNS3 and demonstrated the NETMAP capabilities of VNS3. From an initial test to production set up, the project took less than a month and grew to 16 tunnels.
